Internal contacts

An internal contact against a company is a contact that is linked to the company in question - perhaps an employee, or some other representative.

It is not mandatory to link an added contact to a company, or a company to a contact. However, linking contacts to companies allows users to easily determine company contacts and conversely, a contact's company.

Contacts can only be associated with one company at a time, but a company can be associated with many contacts.
