Creating a sales order

Sales orders can be created in two ways:

Converting a Sales Quotation to a Sales Order

If a sales quotation has been marked as 'Approved', users can select 'Create Sales Order' from the quote's 'Actions' drop-down.

A window will open and users will be able to enter the new sales order details.

Once all fields have been completed, select 'Create Sales Order'. Users will be brought to the sales order's 'Overview' page.

Creating a Sales Order from the Sales Order index

Users can create a sales order by selecting the 'New Sales Order' link in the Sales Order index page.

The list is located at Sales > Sales Orders. A modal will open and users will be able to enter the new sales order details.

Once all fields have been completed, select 'Create Sales Order'. This will create the sales order and users will be brought to a screen where order-specific details can be entered.

Selecting 'Save' will save the new sales order.
