Sharing Data Externally

With the Publicly Accessible Data module, Flowlens now lets you share a live read-only data feed for use in other applications. Please contact us if you'd like to add this module to your subscription.

In order to publish data, a user must be authorised to do so via the Settings > Users section.

Users with this permission enabled will find the 'Publish' button at the bottom of most reports and index pages:

Any search filters applied to the page will also apply to the public link, so it's possible to create multiple links to the same report with different filters enabled.

! NOTE It is your responsibility to ensure that external data links are shared only with trusted and authorised people.

Clicking the Publish button opens a window offering the choice of CSV, PDF, Excel or JSON formats. 

Give your report a name, choose the format that suits your needs, and click 'Create Public Report'.

A new window will show the URL of the data feed. 

! NOTE It is your responsibility to ensure that data links are shared only with trusted and authorised people.
