Changing an asset's serial number

To edit the serial number of an asset, go to the asset register located within the 'Stock' section:

A searchable, multi-columned list of all assets will display. Users should select the asset that requires alteration, either by opening the asset directly from the list or by selecting 'View asset' on the asset's line.

Once the asset has been opened, select 'Edit' from the 'Actions' drop-down.

A modal will display, containing the 'Edit serial number' field.

Edit the serial number and select 'Update Asset'. The new serial number will be saved and the user returned to the Assets list.
